Our Story.... so far

In 2017 we started a small Plantain chip business, run out of our kitchen and sold to small shops and gas stations. When faced with a shortage of fresh green plantains, we decided to buy a plot of land to plant our own plantains. 

Then came COVID-19 and killed our business but not our dream!

Verdant Growers was born after seeing what COVID-19 almost did to the Cayman Islands' food supply. We should not be solely dependent on others to supply our food. 

So, armed with an idea and the graciousness of a good friend, we started to build.
